St Colmans Garden Fete takes place on Sunday July 24 2011.

Achill Island boasts many outdoor activities and the fabulous Blue Flag Keel Beach is walking distance from our doorstep.

Another famous Blue Flag beach is Keem bay only about a fifteen minute drive with the most stunning scenery and is an amazing sun trap.

If you are more energetic you can try your hand at surfing, wind surfing, horse riding, hill walking. golf and sea angling.

Achill also has a number of painting and art schools.

If you are interested in the local heritage the nearby Deserted Village is a must or perhaps you could even spend some time at the Achill Archaeological Summer School.
